Mr. Odey Ochicha's Easter Message To Christians And Nigerians At Large.
Odey Ochicha salutes the entire christiandon and Nigerians at Easter.
The Chairman of Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji, Ondo State and former Governorship candidate of the APC in the 2015 General Elections has greeted Christians and Nigerians in general at Easter celebrations.
Ochicha in a goodwill message issued by Paschal Nyiam, his Media Asistant, noted that Easter is a period when Christians all over the world come together to mark the Ultimate Sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ for mankind in his Death and Resurrection that brought redemption to our souls.
Ochicha continues that it is a period when after denying ourselves the usual comfort and pleasures of life in the Lenten Season; we are once again united with fellow Christians across the world in celebrating God’s profound sacrifice for mankind in the unspeakable sufferings of His Son to give mankind Salvation.
But Easter is also a Season for sober reflection on our lives and the renewal of our personal covenant with God and our relationship with our families and friends. Ochicha said.
Fellow Cross Riverians, there is no time is humanity more vividly reminded of the significance of SACRIFICE to human progress and advancement in all facets of life than the Easter period. Every Easter, the entire Christendom is forced to recall that our SALVATION is a product of priceless SACRIFICE!
Beloved Christians, as we re-unite with our loved ones and friends this Easter, I urge you all to devote a little time to reflect on your relationship with your neighbours and the personal sacrifices that we must all make to create a better society for ourselves and our children yet unborn.
As we enter the most Holy time for our faith, I know it is easy to be discouraged with everything that is happening in our world right now.
It is disheartening to see that many of our fellow Nigerians are falling victim to this pandemic disease called (Covid-19) and we grow impatient with the disruption to our daily lives.
We know we need to abide by these social distancing guidelines for the benefit of us all, but it has made many people feel isolated and lonely.
Never mind, this is for a while. Nothing last forever. This ugly event would soon pass. Let's keep faith in our Almighty and powerful Creator who knows everything that happens to mankind.
Scripture reminds us in John 16:33 that “In this world you will have trouble, but take heart! He has overcome the world.”
Friends, Jesus Christ death on the Cross is the promise that Christ will make all things new and he can work all things for His good.
I know this year’s Easter isn’t what we are used to… This too shall pass.
As you join others in faith this Sunday through your prayers, let us give thanks to the Lord for his blessings and protection over our lives and remember each other and our dear country, Nigeria in our prayers.
Remember, we would get through this phase of life together, even if we are standing six feet apart.
HAPPY EASTER TO YOU. ALL. GOD BLESS!
