AS NYCN CRS LED BY COMR. DANIEL OBO VISIT BEREAVED COMRADES IN THE NORTH, INSPECTS GOVT PROJECTS

In line with the biblical injunctions of mourning with those who mourn, the National Youth Council of Nigeria Cross River State Chapter under the leadership of Comrade Daniel Obo, went on condolence visits to commiserate with some bereaved stakeholders in the Northern part of the State.

First point of visit was to Bekwarra LGA where the leadership and stakeholders of NYCN consoled and condoled with Snr. Comrades Rowland Inah and his brother Emmanuel Inah, over the loss of their father Chief Ferdinand Inah. The visit, which started with a vigil/wake-keep at the decease's family house, was filled with an atmosphere of grief and sense of loss by family members who expressed their sadness over the loss of their father, brother and loved one, Late Chief Ferdinand.

In his condolence message to the bereaved comrades and the entire family, the incumbent State Chairman of NYCN Comrd. Daniel Obo, extolled the fatherly qualities of the late father of the Inahs, stating that this was indeed a great loss.
"I find it difficult to come to terms with the fact that your father, our father passed away so hurriedly. It is in the nature of man to die, but he left so soon. He was indeed a role model with a humble disposition and this qualities made him stand out a good father to all.

Comrade Daniel Obo who also represented the Honorable Commissioner for Youth and Skills Acquisition Hon. Signor Omang Idiege, encouraged the bereaved family to remain steadfast in the legacy he left behind, while also calling on others to emulate the Late patriarch.

"On behalf of the Honorable Commissioner Hon. Chief Signor Idiege who has asked me to stand in for him, the entire Ministry of Youth and Skills Acquisition and together with the stakeholders and Youths of Cross River State, I want to sincerely express our deepest condolences to you and your family and pray God to give you the grace necessary and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, just as we pray for his peaceful repose."

The Youth leadership later joined the family in the funeral Mass which was later followed by interment of the deceased.

While in Obudu, the Youths visited the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Technical and Marine Services, Snr. Comrade Eric William Akpo, who lost a relative.

In his usual humble and cultural manner, Snr. Comrd. Eric Akpo welcomed the Youths and appreciated them for making time to sympathize with him and the entire family.

During the visit which also began with the vigil/wake-keep, The Youths who were in numbers, rallied round the bereaved Comrade and family through out the period. They took time to pour out encomiums on the SSA whom they describe as a Youth with rare leadership qualities for his unceasing interest in the development and advancement of the youth-fold.

In a speech of condolence, the State Chairman of NYCN Comrd. Daniel Obo, sympathized with the family for the loss of the deceased whom he described as a youth who died in her prime. He stated that it was disheartening to see that parents are made to bury their children of which the reverse should be the case. Comrd. Obo admonished the family to take solace in the fact that God almighty had call the late sister, wife and daughter to eternal rest.

 On the sidelines of the visit, the Youths eulogized the achievements of the Governor of Cross River State Senator Professor Ben Ayade in the areas of industrialization and infrastructural development. According to the Youth stakeholders, with what they have seen in the North, it was obvious that there was deliberate mischief by some people to discredit the good work of the Governor.

They cited the Ogoja-Bekwarra-Obudu road which is almost near completion, the reinvigorated Ranch Resort and the Obudu Specialist Hospital which is ongoing, as a case study of the developmental strides of the present administration.

Highpoint of the Visit was a tour of the ongoing projects in the Northern Senatorial District.
