SAVE BOKI FOREST

I call on Civil Society Organizations and International Wildlife Conservation advocates to urgently save one of the last surviving rainforest in Africa.

Boki Local Government Area has recently been in the news for the wrong reason due to the criminal deforestation currently going on there. Information available has it that the primitive exploitation of timber in Boki land by Hausa/Fulani merchants is in connivance with few Boki stakeholders who are currently in Prof Ben Ayade's administration. That means the Governor is aware of this illegal transaction.

I call on Boki youths to rise up and protect their land. Apart from the environmental impact this deforestation is currently creating, the security implication in the nearest future may be unprecedented. We can not afford to cohabitate Herdsmen in our land.
