NIGERIA @ 60! HAPPY INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATION.


The Executive Chairman of Yakurr Local Government Area, Hon. Ofem Ebri Obeten and the good people of the Local Government Area, wish to congratulate the President and Commander-in Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria President Mohammadu  Buhari, the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Benedict Ayade and all citizens of our great nation Nigeria on her attainment of 60 years.

Nigeria has remain one united nation  as the almighty God has help us to overcome our common problems in the past. We pray that our good Lord will continue to help us to grow from strength to strength as to achieve our goals. While wishing Nigeria many more Independence celebration, we pray for peace, unity and faith as we continue to serve our fatherland. 

I also use this occasion to send a big thank you message to His Excellency the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Sir. Benedict Ayade, for deepening democratic process in the State and the provision of 54 SUVs cars to the 18 local government Chairmen and their Vice as well as parliamentary  Leaders of Council.

I will not forget to thank the traditional rulers of Yakurr LGA,  the National Youth Council of Nigeria, (NYCN) Yakurr Chapter and the Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN) Yakurr Chapter for all the effort played in ensuring a peaceful environment in Yakurr LGA.

Most importantly, my advise to the youths of Yakurr LGA, is to always allow the use of dialogue to prevail in the settlement of dispute instead of confrontation.

Long live Yakurr Local Government Area!

Long live Cross River State!

Long live our amiable country Nigeria!
